Import Content not Functioning. Is this an know bug.

I'm new to DNN and the Text/HTML module. When I export the the content from an instance of the Text/HTML module from the default home page, and then attempt to import it, I get an 'error occurred during the import' message.

I have DNN installed locally and remotely and both give the same error message.

Is this a know bug, or are there limitations to what can be exported and imported using Text/HTML?

Thanks

Samsen

Re: Import Content not Functioning. Is this an know bug.

Hi Samsen,

Like you i'm new to DNN and what a learning curve it's become.  I to have had the same error appear when importing content.  The only way around it that I'm aware of is to delete the text/html module, then add it again.  This time when you import the content it should (Well it does for me) appear.

Cheers

John

Re: Import Content not Functioning. Is this an know bug.

Thanks John,

Perhaps then it works as designed (though the design is undocumented). It's only there to load content into a new module. Though, I have found that I can cut and paste the content from the HTML view with some success (though, manual highlighting/selection is required as SELECT ALL in this mode does not seem to work).

Thanks again for your observation.

Samsen
