Placing images in the text/html section

G'Day,

I am using the default install of DNN 4.0.3 with Windows Server 2003 and SQL Server 2005.

I am using a clean install and the default dotnetnuke skin.  My logo image is 774 pixels and looks fine at the top.

However when I add an text/html module to the top panel, then add an image (also 774 pixels wide) the width expands way beyond the 1000 pixels as if there were many spaces added after the image.  I understand that the top panel is made by joining 3 table cells together using colspan=3.  I don't understand why adding a 774 pixel image makes the whole table stretch to over 1000 pixels wide.  This also happens if I add an image to the bottom panel, and it also happens if I do this in the html/text module or the image module.  What am I doing wrong?

I have been reading through the forums for hours now and I can't determine what I am doing wrong.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Placing images in the text/html section
this sonds to me more like problem of the skin than of the module. Using text&HTML does add a table around and AFAIR adds some cellpaddind/cellspacing, but this does not explain more than 200 px. Have a look at the source code of the generated page and use developer tools for your browser (they are available for Firefox during installation and for IE from microsoft).
