Hi,
we have made several tests with different user agents (search engines and mobile devices). We did found some issues with text/html module, that should be discussed/solved. In particular:
- GoogleBot (Googlebot/2.1 (+http://www.googlebot.com/bot.html))
With this user agent, all text/html modules, that are configured to be shown minimized initially, will not contain any text anymore - the module consists of a headline only. As a search engine should receive as much content as possible, this looks like a bug to me. From my point of view, a text/html module should be shown maximize always, if a search engine comes along.
- Hand held device (Mozilla/4.76 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; U; Windows 95; PalmSource; PalmOS; WebPro; Tungsten Proxyless 1.1 320x320x16)
With this user agent, anything seams to be ok on first sight. If the user clicks the minimize icon to hide the module content, the module is shown minimized as expected. But there's no way back: a click to maximize icon causes nothing, the content part of the module in question stays hidden.
Maybe, theres another way to get around these bugs. Any hint welcome.
Yours, Detlev
