How to link an internal document from the text of the HTLM module?

How can I link a document that has been already stored in the site from the text you have edited in the rich editor. I tried with the link button but nothing.  For example:

I want to publish a text in may page, but I don’t want to show all of it because it is very big. I just want to show four lines and a link which will allow the final user to see the whole document if he want to. What is the sintaxis of the link in order to access an internal document?

Thanks in advance.

Re: How to link an internal document from the text of the HTLM module?
Hi,
The Text/HTML module has no built in functionality to only show the first few lines and add a link for the full text. The blog module for example, does do this.
You could add the full text on a hidden page and link to that page from your short text. You would need to copy and paste the link from your browser by hand if you're using the standard Texteditor that comes with dnn.

Hope this helps.

Re: How to link an internal document from the text of the HTLM module?

Thanks SuperSKa but..

Unfortunately the blog module is not available in my system and I am not the administrator of the portal so I have to find a solution with Text/Html module.

I know that I have to paste part of the text that I want to show and that there must be a link to the entire document already stored somewhere, but what the sin taxis of the standard texteditor link button that comes with dnn to access that file is. It is one of the most common resources in a normal web page therefore the solution must be there somewhere.

I Know I can solve this problem with the link module using the title property but it seems to me that is not the natural way for such an normal procedure..

Re: How to link an internal document from the text of the HTLM module?
Hmm, not sure if this is what you mean, but in the text editor, there's a hyperlink-button in the toolbar (picture same as in MS Word, a globe with a chain-link). Just select the text you want to create the link for, click the button and enter your URL.

Hope that helps.

Re: How to link an internal document from the text of the HTLM module?
Posted this to another thread, but since this thread was getting more play I thought I would try here too. In the HTML module I need to link to in internal page with the rich text editor. This is NOT an external URL, but to an internal page within the website. So to recap I want the linking capability within the LINKS MODULE, except being able to do it from the HTML module. Seems this can't be done, but it also seems this would be an everyday use. Something like if you had a page talking about NBA players, and during the text when "John Doe" is named, you want a hyperlink to the "John Doe" page WITHIN your existing site. PLEASE HELP!! window.opener.SetParentValue('form','','confuse','%3CIMG%20src=/%22//Portals//25//ForumSmiley//confuse.gif/%22%20//%3E','smiley');
