Free Text Box Error...

Has anyone seen this?  I have been working on my 3.2 site and all of a sudden i start getting this error.  Thanks

FreeTextBox has not been correctly installed. To install FreeTextBox either:
(1) add a reference to FtbWebResource.axd in web.config:
<system.web>
<httpHandlers>
<add verb="GET"
path="FtbWebResource.axd"
type="FreeTextBoxControls.AssemblyResourceHandler, FreeTextBox" />
</httpHandlers>
</system.web>

(2) Save the FreeTextBox image and javascript files to a location on your website and set up FreeTextBox as follows
<FTB:FreeTextBox id="FreeTextBox1" SupportFolder="ftbfileslocation" JavaScriptLocation="ExternalFile" ButtonImagesLocation="ExternalFile" ToolbarImagesLocation="ExternalFile" ButtonImagesLocation="ExternalFile" runat="server" />

Re: Free Text Box Error...
Well I should add some infromation to my post.  The installaton is DNN 3.1.1 and I have been using it for several months quite secessfully. I was using the Text/HTML module yesterday upto 11pm and all was fine.  This morning I loaded some modules: BestModules - Documents, BestModules - Links, DotDesk-UrlTitle, TitleCreator from Netcoma, adjusted some CSS and when I went to edit one of the tstt/HTML modules I got:

FreeTextBox has not been correctly installed. To install FreeTextBox either:

and

That's all I can tell you at this point except my boss is currently in freak-out mode

Cheers,
Bob

Re: Free Text Box Error...

I have the exact same problem now. I moved a DNN3.2.2 site from one webserver to another, the original site still works fine.

The funny thing is that a newly installed instance of a new DNN3.2.2 works fine on this second server! The only difference is that the site i'm moving has Delisoft and Apollo-products installed for multilingual-support. And the original HTML/Text-module has been removed - which works fine on the original server.

When I switch the IIS on the second server between the site i'm moving and the newly installed DNN the problem only exsists on the old site... Doesn't seem to be a rights-problem. And the web.config are identical in respect to the httpHandlers.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Re: Free Text Box Error...

I resolved my problem by copying the original DNN files from the site I was moving (which did not work on the new server) into the folder with the newly installed DNN (which worked but lacked the contents of the site I was moving). The web.config was also copied so the SQL Database in use is the one for the moving site (which did not work) so the newly created database can now be deleted along with the copied files from the original moving site.

Does this make sence? Bottom line is that I had this problem with my editor, the solution stated in the errordescription is useless... Install a new DNN and copy the files from the original site into the new DNN-folder and keep the original database. :o)
