Re: Tab ID changes when exporting the site

by "use another link method" I mean bypassing the URLcontrol and entering the path using tabname, afair there is an option - please search the forums for an example.

Re: Tab ID changes when exporting the site

Is there a tutorial about doing that? Or some someware to do it? I need to move a portal (child portal) to a dnn installation on another server (also to be a child portal there).

 Sebastian Leupold wrote

moving portal means moving the complete database and  installation folder in the files system.

Re: Tab ID changes when exporting the site

Thanks for the link. I'm asking about moving individual portals from one DNN instance to another existing DNN instance on another server.  I found a comment there about that which is "you better hope all the modules you used support export/import, then you can export your portal as a template w/content. Otherwise you'll have to do a lot of manual configuration and data entry".  I'm not sure what the first part fo that statement means, about "the modules you used support export/import".

Re: Tab ID changes when exporting the site

Has anyone found this solution?  If so, I would also like to know how to solve it - I am having the same problem.

Thanks!
