Text Moves when saving

I have two clients that are having the same issue. When they update the TEXT/HTML module, copy that was at the top of the page, moves to the bottom of the page. The code actually shifts down when saving.

I thought the first one was crazy when I heard about it.. then I got the second call. Now I don't know what to think.

We recently updated from SQL 2000 to 2005. And both clients are using DNN 4.8.2.
Any idea what might be going on?

Anyone else ever see something like this?

Thanks

Re: Text Moves when saving

did you analyse the html source, maybe there was some positioning included?

Re: Text Moves when saving

The photos have positioning (e.g. align="right"), beyond that there is no positioning that the client put in.

When the text shifts down, there is a lot of additional code inserted, such as:

 <p>&#160;</p>
<p>&#160;</p>
<p>&#160;</p>
<p>&#160;</p>
<p align="right">&#160;</p>
<p>&#160;</p>
<p>&#160;</p>
<p>&#160;</p>
<p>&#160;</p>

We've updated to the latest text_HTML Module.

Could it be a result of upgrading from SQL2000 to 2005?

Re: Text Moves when saving

It is for sure not caused by the sql server, I assume, that it is caused by a conversion or filter function in the core. I will try to figure it out.

Re: Text Moves when saving

Stan,

I've seen this happen if there's a missing tag (opening or closing).  You might just need to add a </div> at the end.
