link doc files 

I am trying to link .doc files in Edit/text module.  All I get is Error http/404, can't read.  But it works fine in a link module.  What am I doing wron?

  • ar the files stored in securer folders?
  • are you using the "insert link" button and inside "browse Server" option?

When I click on files, there is a Portal Folder and one I added  called documents.  They are in the documents folder.  Like I stated, theyn work ok in the Links Module.

Yes I used insert link, & browse option.

sorry, I still have problems to understand.

  • How do the links look like in source code of your Text/HTML content and what is happening, when you click the link? 
  • Are you working  in parent or child portal?
  • Which is your DNN version?

I still assume there is an issue in IIS web site configuration.
