PDF problems

I have a drop down menu system with an Iframe below with a PDF in it, the menu system goes behind the adobe reader, any ideas?

Re: PDF problems

There is nothing in the settings of any sort... You can set up your own javascript so that when the menu drops down, it should hide the IFrame. But that's about it...

Re: PDF problems

hmmmm, that seems a lot of messing about.  All I want to do is get a PDF to display  a) in another window directly from the menu (there doesn't seem to be an option for this) or b) get the pdf in the iframe to be behind the drop downs.  I can get it to work with a targeted link from a standard page but that is a bit long winded.  I would of thought others would have had the same problem as PDFs are soo widely used????

The problem is that adobe is opening up and loading in the same window, i just want it to appear in another window or in abobe.  Very annoying.

Re: PDF problems

Interestingly enough, you want to do something entirely opposite of what IFrame is meant to be. The whole purpose of IFrame is open inside a page.

Now, to address your question:

If you are looking to just open some url in a new window, there are two ways to do it - by adding target="_blank"  (click to see in action and read more) parameter to an A tag (your link), or, by using open() method of JavaScript (click to see in action and read more).
