Passing Windows Authentication

I would like to use IFrame to hit an internal site that use Windows Authentication and have IFrame pass correct information so the page can be accessed. Has anyone done this?

Re: Passing Windows Authentication
There are absolutely no problems with this - even in the current version of the IFrame module. The web request that the IFrame uses is from the client, so his/her Windows credentials will be passed to the target page just as it would if he/she openned the page in another browser window. This is particularly why the IFrame module has been used in a lot of migration scenarios - to enable basic DNN capabilities with a long-term migration strategy that can be implemented on a short-term basis.

Re: Passing Windows Authentication
Thanks for you response, but the problem I'm having is that the internal web-site isn't accessable via the internet. I'm wanting my external site to pass the authentication to internal site. I was thinking that making a trust between the two servers would allow this when using IFrame. I'm I on the right track.

Re: Passing Windows Authentication
This isn't possible, in the sense of what you're looking for. An IFrame, just like frames in a frameset, initiates the web request from the client machine. Because of this, if a site is on a network not accessible to the user, then they won't be able to get to it in an IFrame. The only way this can be done is with screen-scraping, which has its own limitations (namely, javascript problems for ASP.NET sites with view-state enabled). If screen-scraping is what you're looking for, then that should be in the next release of the IFrame module; however, you're on your own for now. Again, I must say that screen-scraping can be very limiting; especially with dynamic content.
