Pass Iframe Url to Open

Can I force the iframe to open a particular web site by passing this URl to it via a form? I know I probably have the syntax messed up.

http://dsiweb2/portal408/Test/tabid/65/Default.aspx?Au_iframe=www.website.com

Thanks!

Rick

Re: Pass Iframe Url to Open

Due to security considerations*, we have chosen not to allow for such a functionality currently. We are discussing different options, and this feature will be shortly implemented.

* Basically, anybody can pass a url to such a page opening gates wide open to cross-browser attacks and what-have-you...

Having said that, if you can't wait for a core solution, you can try one of the commercially available products (just beware of the security issues) - you can find them at http://marketplace.dotnetnuke.com, for example.

Re: Pass Iframe Url to Open

I can definitely understand the risk. If this was going to be strictly internal traffic, I wouldn't be to worried about that. However, it is not.

Thank you for the answer.

Re: Pass Iframe Url to Open

Sure thing. We are going to add a domain management, so that you could set, for exmaple, some domain that is allowed to be passed dynamically - this way you will be able to enjoy the feature but perps wont. :)
