IE cannot display the webpage & Firefox opens link into new page

I am using DNN 4.8 - The page I am trying to view requires login - it is a google partnerpage - www.teamwlp.net

I have installed an iframe but can't view the page with IE on Windows XP.

I can view the page in the iframe on MAC using Firefox but when I click the login link it changes the whole page to the google partnerpage.

Any help would be appreciated. Pat

Re: IE cannot display the webpage & Firefox opens link into new page

I've tried it in a several different ways and the conclusion is - google is making sure to break away from a frame if it finds itself in one.

You can try a different layout technique - for example this: http://www.stickmanlabs.com/lightwindow

Hey Vitaly is this lightwindow compatible with DNN as a module or is this something that is progammed into css of a skin or what?

I appreciate your help. Pat

Re: IE cannot display the webpage & Firefox opens link into new page

It's not a module. You'll need to include a few javascript files and a stylesheet. Also, you'll need to add some other things on the page itself. It can really be done either on the page itself or on the skin for that page. Just be careful - if you do something that will effect the functionality of the page (like a Javascript error that will prevent the rest of the page work) you might face some extra work... :)

Re: IE cannot display the webpage & Firefox opens link into new page

Hey Vitaly - I wanted you to know the at lightwindow you recommended is pretty cool but the guy who built it is in my opinion a liar and a fraud. His website purports to provide immediate support for those who donate to his "Help me buy a MAC" campaign. Having been a poor student once myself and being very interested in learning more about his lightwindow I decided to donate. I now realize that he stopped providing customer support back in November. Not a real great way to do business.

Cheers,

Pat
