Passing User Password to the iframe

Hello, I created an iframe module and Im working with querystring parameters. The available parameters are user id, user email, etc, but I don't see any User Password. I need to pass the user password to the iframe because the site which is inside the frame needs DNN user id and password.

I would appreciate any help on this. Thanks a lot in advance.

Re: Passing User Password to the iframe

You can't pass a password to a page inside IFrame. It's a security block intentionally left there - we don't want anybody to see someone else's password. In IFRAME, everything is passed via QueryString which makes it completely visible to anyone with  minimal level of interest...

Re: Passing User Password to the iframe

passing password is not possible due to security constraints (anyone might catch up the url with DNN use credentials)

Re: Passing User Password to the iframe

As said, this is not a good situation. However, I have and do use a secure webservices to check a DNN users auth, role, etc.. This is one workaround.

Re: Passing User Password to the iframe

Another way to do it would be to add a SALT setting (to be used in password encryption) and provide an encryption/decryption dll to be used on the IFrame's site.
