Re: Passing User Password to the iframe

At what point do you see password inside the querystring?

IFrame module is not set up (and unlikely ever will be) to pass passwords. So, if you want to do that - you'll have to modify IFrame code or  have tha password passed to IFrame module as a pass-through value (you should definitely NOT use QueryString for that - at least hide it in a form field).

Hi Vitaly!

I want to be able to use Iframe to log into another web app much like many of the folks in this thread.

I'm not worried about passing the password:

  1. My iframe will be behind the login on a private DNN portal
  2. The solution isn't mission critical so if something bad happens I can change passwords or reinstall from backup for really bad issues.

I'm not a programmer so I'm wondering how I can do this?  I wouldn't HAVE to use the DNN password although it would be nice.  Could I just build a link in the text/html module that passes the password to the iframe module?  I'm assuming the text/html module has a token for user passwords.....

Any help would be appreaciated.

Greg

Re: Passing User Password to the iframe

DNN tokens do not include Password - for security reasons. Sorry... :(
