I am having no luck with that.  It could be that I don't use the file manager and I mainly use an FTP program to upload images.  Several of my folders aren't even showing up in FileManager. 

Any ideas?

I had same problem, and added post here, then I found the answer further down in forum.  File Manager View permissions for "All Users" had been removed during upgrade.  Change back and images come back in Media module.

now... why remove that permission during the upgrade? why? i say lets not do that k...
