Importing Media

Hello to all.

I am extremely new to this and could use a little help. I am attempting to import cointent and can't seem to get anything other than "Root" for the import folder. What did I do wrong?

Re: Importing Media

I have gotten to the next step of trying to upload a media file in .mwv format and get the following error:

The File D:\DNN450\Portals\0\christmaslights.wmv Is A Restricted File Type. Valid File Types Include ( *. swf, *.jpg, *.jpeg, *.jpe, *.gif, *.bmp, *.png, *.doc, *.xls, *.ppt, *.pdf, *.txt, *.xml, *.xsl, *.css, *.zip ). Please Contact Your Hosting Provider If You Need To Upload A File Type Which Is Not Supported.

It sounds like I've missed some configuration setting. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Regards.

Figured it out. Sorry if I troubled anyone. Now on to stopping autoplay.

Re: Importing Media

Login with a SuperUser account (host is the default one) and go to Host -> Host Settings, expand Advanced Settings, expand Other Settings and under File Upload Extensions add wvm

Re: Importing Media

I'm having the same issue... How can we select (or upload a file) from any other folder than the Root or Media Files folders that show by default? I can upload swf files through the File Manager but cannot choose any of them in the Media Module Options...
