media module loosing image references during upgrade?
Hi,

It seems that the media module looses all image references during upgrades. This happened during the 4.3.6-4.3.7 and during 4.3.7-4.4.0 upgrade. The images are shown as broken links. We now have to relink all images again after an upgrade. I'm using Media module 03.02.03. Is this a known issue or does it sound famliar to anyone?

Thanks

Hi,

Since I got no reaction on this thread I tried to add it to the support.dotnetnuke.com media module issue tracker. Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to add any issues/bugs here.

Does someone else experience the same problem after upgrading dnn?

By the way are there any plans to avoid the "click-to-activate" problem with flash movies?

Thanks in advance,

Rutger

Re: media module loosing image references during upgrade?
I just finished upgrade from 3.1 to 4.4 over the weekend.  Had everything back up and running untill: I installed the new modules late last night and had the same thing happen.  All Image Modules were replace with Media, and only show broken links to images, unless you are logged in as administrator.    I've gone through settings, and View is still set to "Same as Page".

Found my answer further down in forum.  File Manager View permissions for "All Users" had been removed during upgrade.

Re: media module loosing image references during upgrade?

I had same problem, and added post here, then I found the answer further down in forum.  File Manager View permissions for "All Users" had been removed during upgrade.  Change back and images come back in Media module.
