Re: media module loosing image references during upgrade?
Well, just did an upgrade from 4.0.3 to 4.4.0 and then upgraded the image module to the media module...
Guess what... We lost all references.
- turning of compression does not help
- adding stuff to compression.config does not help
- setting view permissions does not help

Now what?

Re: media module loosing image references during upgrade?
Something strange happend during upgrade cause when I go to a media module's edit page, I still see the image module's edit page. In Module Definitions, I can see the Image module and the media module.

The records where however moved from modulesettings to the media table. So I guess the upgrade script needs some work guys!!!

Found my answer further down in forum.  File Manager View permissions for "All Users" had been removed during upgrade.

Where do I change this.  I am having the same problems.

Re: media module loosing image references during upgrade?

My problem was with "File Permissions".

Under "Admin" go to "File Manager".  Scroll down to the permissions area and select the users who need "View" permissions.  In my case, I selected "All Users".  After that, pictures were visible again.

Log in as Adiministrator (or Super User), go to Admin -> File Manager, select the folder you are interested in, click on All Users checkbox on the bottom of the page and click update.
