This is probably a very silly post, however I have exhausted all the available obvious options.
I am trying to do a simple thing.... link to a .zip or a .exe file to allow a registered user to download an install package.
Is the links module the correct module, or should I use the documents module?
I get a range of funny errors when trying to add a link to an exe file, like 'the page could not be found', when trying to upload a new file.
If I use the documents module, then I get logged out of DNN, and the page expires.
I do not get an error saying that my file type is not allowed.
This is a simple process uing HTML, why so complex and mysitifed here???
