Permission-Based Links
I'd like to see the ability to limit view access to certain links based on permissions. By default, all links can be displayed; however, each link would have an option to limit that link to specific roles. This would allow admins to setup a group of links for HR, for instance, yet keep management-only links in that same module, instead of having an HR Management links module, too.

Re: Permission-Based Links
I also have an interest in a permissions based links module.  I addition, it would be nice if the permissions infrastructure was easier to take advantage of in module development so that other custom modules could be developed without spending too much time developing the permissions for each module.
