Can't add links if not showing the container 

With most of my links I have the Container set to not show.  Unfortunately, this also hides the "Add New Link" link and thus makes it impossible for me to allow roles the ability to add new links to the module w/o making them an administrator of the site.  Is there something I'm missing here?  If not, then please log this as a feature request.
