Feature Request: Automatic link creation

I created an issue in gemini about the possibility of adding automatic link creation to the module, http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=5673

Posting it here to see what people think about it

Re: Feature Request: Automatic link creation

Michael,

I will look at the request. I am not sure this is something a majority of people would want as you would either need more than normal input from the user or make big assumptions for the user. Let me think on this one a bit and also see what the others say about it.

Re: Feature Request: Automatic link creation

I added the comment to Gemini:

Automatically creating a file list within a folder would be a nice feature, but imo people would search it in the documents module first.

Automatically creating a list of child pages of a page is task of acofigurable menu or sitemap module.

Re: Feature Request: Automatic link creation

I think you it the nail on the head Sebastian. I would have to mimic sebastians thoughts on this request as well as it really is beyond the scope of what this module is designed to do.

Re: Feature Request: Automatic link creation

Thanks all. I accept your thinking and it does look out of place in the links module.

Does anyone know if it would it be possible to move the watched folder idea to the documents module team or would it be quicker and easier all round to close the issue and i'll open a new issue for the documents team
