Links module and google

I'm getting warnings from google when I look in their webmaster tools. The problems are about the linkclick in dotnetnuke. To get the warnings to go away I have had to remove the links module. Is this a known problem? is there a solution?

regards, Mark

What are the errors/warnings that you are getting from Google Webmaster Tools?

Re: Links module and google

The error is "URLs not allowed" The explanation is

When we tested a sample of the URLs from your Sitemap, we found that some URLs were not accessible to Googlebot because they contained too many redirects. Please change the URLs in your Sitemap that redirect and replace them with the destination URL (the redirect target). All valid URLs will still be submitted

an example of a link that caused this error is

Now you need to determine why GoogleBot is finding too many redirects.  The first click should be fine, but when the page loads, are there any other redirects happening?  For instance, if the page is an SSL page, and your site says it cannot be, this would cause another redirect.

Re: Links module and google

The links were to simple websites that also used dotnetnuke 4.8.2 The links were to the site and not to individual pages. On removing this module all of the googlebot errors went away. I humbly suggest this module needs some work asap.

regards, Mark
