Re: Link Module problem
What version of DNN?
If v4, make sure you have set both SQL server strings correctly in web.config.
One of these two depending on SQL server express, or not:

<appSettings>
    <!-- Connection String for SQL Server 2005 Express - kept for backwards compatability - legacy modules   -->
    <add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Data Source=.\SQLExpress;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True;AttachDBFilename=|DataDirectory|Database.mdf;"/>
    <!-- Connection String for SQL Server 2000/2005 - kept for backwards compatability - legacy modules
    <add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Server=(local);Database=DotNetNuke;uid=;pwd=;"/>
    -->
    .....................................................
  </appSettings>

They are for "for legacy modules" and are still used by some of the core modules.

Re: Link Module problem

This is an old post, but I'm having the same problem and I've looked in the different posts for over an hour now and I can't find a solution.

My hosting facility is saying that the SQL settings are correct.  the post before this one says that I need to update a "stored procedure"  Can you please tell me what that is?  Or send me a link for documentation?

Thanks,

Michelle
