Link a Resource in the repository to a page
We have the need to Link a page in a portal to a resource memorized in the repository, the purpouse is to give the subscriber direct access to the Download of the resource from the page on which its contents and purpouse are explained. We haven't found a way to get a link to the page exposing the resources list filtering it for a specific resource. I made an example: On my site I write an article speaking about how to build a Winform application On the resources I upload a zip file containing the application code. On my article I want to set a link that opens the resources page with the specific resource. This is for statistic purpouses, I want the subscriber to use the resources page for the download to know how many times a resource is downloaded. Is there a way to achieve this result? I know I can directly link the resource file zip, but with the direct link there are no counts, no feedback, no scores on my resource. regards Rudy

Re: Link a Resource in the repository to a page

I'm sorry but that is not possible in the current version. However, you are not the only person to request that ability so I will be adding it to the final build of 3.01.14 (hopefully tonight)

Re: Link a Resource in the repository to a page

no, the permalink feature is a URL that will take you directly to the Repository page and display the Repository item. The user still has to click on DOWNLOAD to actually download the file associated with the item.  The request here is to have a URL that will immediately download the associated file while still incrementing the download statistics for the Repository item.

So I am lost...
You said in a previous post that it was possible to add a function "TRUE" to download, to enable this feature. It's not the case ????

Added support for a DOWNLOAD setting on the FILENAME option for
Dashboard file-type modules. Setting DOWNLOAD equal to true will
change the behavior of hyperlinks for files in Dashboard modules,
triggering the download dialog box instead of navigating to the
Repository module and displaying the item.
