Articles Template - Show/Hide Error?

Running on DNN v04.08.01 - Repository v03.01.13

When I insert a Repository Module in any page it displays correctly, but I see in the error conole (FF WebDeveloper Toolbar):

Error: window.attachEvent is not a function
Source File: http://localhost:1861/MyWebSite/DesktopModules/Repository/js/pngfix.js
Row: 29

Ok, I don't mind as long as it works. Then I switch to "articles" the Template, I add an article, I publish it, and see its summary, but when I try to show the text of the article clicking on "read article" nothing happens, and this is recorded in the error console:

Error: missing ; before statement
Source File: http://localhost:1861/
MyWebSite/Info/tabid/54/Default.aspx
Row: 466, Column: 54
Source:
        el.innerHTML = '<span class="ArticleToggle">read article</span>';

Any ideas anyone?

P.S. Experienced in FireFox 2.0.0.12 and Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.13, same result.

Re: Articles Template - Show/Hide Error?

Dario,
I used google to search for that error and is it possible that the server you are running on had Atlas installed at some point?

"If you get an error of window.attachEvent is not a function when using Microsoft Atlas then you need to include the AtlasCompat.js file too. Such are the joys of trying to do Atlas without all the ASP.NET wizardry. So far prototype is a lot better in getting started with."

I would suggest either uninstalling Atlas, or looking for  the AtlasCompat.js file and incorporate it into your DNN site.

Re: Articles Template - Show/Hide Error?

Thank you very much for you prompt response.

I figured out the problem with the showhide.js was caused by the italian translation of the module that I created. In fact "read article" in italian is "leggi l'articolo", this caused the js onclick statement to go crazy. Now everything goes smooth, the article shows and hides perfectly.

Anyway the window.attachEvent is not a function error still occurs, but as long as it doesn't affect module's functionality, I will not try to go deeper in the Atlas Compatibility Matter. In fact I faced the error on a local install, using Web Developer Express 2008 and .Net Framework 3.5, maybe in production this will be correct.

Thanks anyway, your professionality on this forum helped me much!
