Business Directory

I'd like to use the Repository for a business directory.  I had seen that it has a template just for that.  However, I also need to import some business data from another database which includes address information in separate fields.  I was going through and trying to modify the template to suit my needs, but realized that either I was doing something wrong or there aren't any built-in tokens for address information for the template.  Am I missing something?  If I could just get the address info imported, the rest of the description in a description field would be fine.  I just need the address fields separated as my client does mail merges and I would be creating some sort of export to get the data to them.

Any help here is appreciated.  Is what I am missing the fact that I might have to recompile the module?

Re: Business Directory

The Repository Module supports Export and Import.  So, you might want to manually create one record and then export.  Look at that file to see the format that is exported.

Then, export your existing data in whatever way you can export it, edit it into an XML file that matches the Repository's Export/Import format, and then import that data into the Repository module.

No modification or recompiling will be necessary.

Yes this would work great.  However, exporting the data confirms my suspicion.  I'd need to add custom fields and recompile if I wanted specific fields to store the address.  The businesscards template just uses the description field to store the entire address in rich text.  At the very least, I need to be able to have all of the address fields separated (address1, address2, city, state, zip) and possibly a few phone number fields.

Re: Business Directory

Anyone out there willing to recompile it for me with fields added specifically for all possible address fields?  I no longer have VS.NET 2003 anywhere.  I guess I could do it from the command-line if I really tried hard.
