Archiving

Hi there,

Wondering if there is an Archive function within the Repository mod or a way to auto archive 'uploads/posts' after a set period of time.

Thanks,

Dan

Re: Archiving

no, there isn't a built-in way within the module to do that .. however, since we're just talking about data manipulation here, there's no reason you couldn't implement a script to archive the data and kick it off within the database with a timer that runs on a regular schedule.  You could create 'archive' tables with the same structure as the grmRepositoryObjects and grmRepositoryObjectComments and then write a script to 'move' records from the live tables to the archive tables based on dates within the records.
