How to disable validation?

Hello,

I want to use the url field for something else such as zipcode so I do not have to create any additional fileds. How do I disable the validation for the URL fields so users are able to enter string or aything else.

How do I disable the validation?

Or is there are any easy way to add new custom field?

Thank you,

Tareq

Re: How to disable validation?

Should I assume this is not possible or too complicated?

Re: How to disable validation?

there is no easy way to add custom fields or to remove the validation, both would require code changes to the module.  Removing the validation would be the easiest of the two, mostly commenting out lines of code .. adding a new field would require a significant change as you would have to change the database, sprocs, data layer and module files.  Sorry there is not a better answer for you at this time.
