Re: Import CSV data into UDT

I can't help but note that a CSV is comma-separated values, not semi-colon-separated values. Something is obviously wrong here.

Re: Import CSV data into UDT

In the U.S., comma is used in CSV, in Europe most of the software uses semicolon, since comma is used as a decimal point here. If your software does not allow to select the separator, open file with a text editor and replace all "," with ";".

Re: Import CSV data into UDT

sorry, I am not getting my email notifications for these forums and I am not sure why.

I was using commas also.  I will go back and test to see if this was the problem.  Thank you for your reply.

Excel ->Save as CSV -> Includes semicolons for me.

Please note that this is a free Open Source add on, not part of the official UDT distribution. Take the source, change that character and compile it how you like it. You are free to modify it that it suits your needs. I invited everybody to join the project on codeplex, everybody can participate. If the Converter is inally ready for prime time, we can even think of including it later inside UDT.

Re: Import CSV data into UDT

j_ruez, Yes using a semicolon works fine for me.  The Drag-N-Drop feature still did not work though.

I have not had the experience of recompiling an .exe  but perhaps I will give it a try.  This is deffinately much needed tool for UDT.
Thanks!
