pass parameter to insert record form

Hi,

I have a few questions regarding the UDT Module:

  1. Does the UDT support passing default values for the input fields in the insert record form (either HTTP GET or HTTP POST)?
  2. Also I'd like to know what the maximum size of the Text and Rich Text Datatypes is. If the content is larger, is it simply truncated o does it throw an error?
  3. I need to store a "large" amount of plain text (so no rich text editor), is this possible?
  4. How does the export as xml handle Download fields?

Thanks,

rudgr

Re: pass parameter to insert record form

Hi Rudgr,

quick answers:

  1. no, you need to create an extended version of the module
  2. as both texts are stored in a nText column in database, there is no limit except disk space/database size limit (and string datatype limit)
  3. yes
  4. try it, AFAIR it substitutes fileID with the file path, but I am not sure.
