forms & Lists (UDT 5) - Preview 1
Modified By Stefan Cullmann on 6/11/2008 5:39:10 PM)

While DotNetNuke 5 Beta 5 is now released to a small set of beta testers, I am also very pleased to announce a preview of UDT5.

The successor of UserDefinedTable will be released as "forms & Lists (UDT5)".

New Features:

  • form mode
  • Privat Columns - Columns that are only editable with a sufficient permmission
  • Change tracking/ Notification
  • Module Application: Configuration can be saved as a template
  • table less edit forms

New Datatypes:

  • "Look Up",
  • "Separator"

Enhancements:

  • Searchable URLs
  • New hidden Column "UDT_Caption"
  • Current settings can be saved as default for all mirrored modules
  • xHTML compatible output

Under the hood:
a lot of refactoring is done, it is ported from DNN3/ Asp.net1.1.

The preview (and the final module) is based on DotnetNuke5 and doesn't run on DNN3/DNN4.

forms & Lists (UDT5.0) will be the next major release of the User Defined Table project.
A first Preview is available, though it requires DotnetNuke 5 (Beta 5).

You don't need to migrate your data, it will be a simple update, your data will be safe.
