After upgrade, invisible columns are visible

After upgrading to UDT 3.5, All the columns whose visibility was unchecked are now visible. This includes previously existing columns and newly created columns. The Required and Searchable checkboxes continue to work properly. Is there any reason and solution for this?

Re: After upgrade, invisible columns are visible

The column's visibility checkbox is left unchecked and yet it comes up as a column. The default invisible columns like "Changed By" stay invisible but any columns created by me do not.

After some investigating, I noticed that this only happens to the admin. All other users see only what I want them to see. It is just a little strange because that was not the behavoiur before. Was this a concious change in the module's code or the xsl stylesheet?

I also wanted to know if the Default Grid Table is generated using a stylesheet. I want to use my own stylesheet And I also want to include a search bar that is not the Simple Search.

Thanks.

Re: After upgrade, invisible columns are visible

Column's visibility is controlled by  custom permission "Show visible columns". DNN  security model enforces all permissions to be enable for administrators, however this is not a always wanted. UDT tries to make the best out of the situations and shows/hides theses columns depending on the selected page mode (view/edit) .

(UDT5 is going to add an option where you can override the setting of the permission grid.)

Default Grid uses the ASP.NET DataGrid control. Iy you want to use your own stylesheet, select to custom XSL.

How do I modify AdvancedTable.xsl to show a normal search bar and not a simple search box?
