some minor bugs ?

Hi UDT Team,

This is a great upgrade of the UDT.
Thanks for al the work.

When fiddling around with the module I noticed a few things.

When the table is displayed with the predefined AdvancedT.xsl, ->After search command, Click on the magnifier of the search result, the module does an escape to the home page.
When search in the udt the amount of 5 characters in a string, the result of the search are 0
For example. I have a painting what is called "paard" (is horse in dutch) the result is 0

If I find more things like this, is this the proper place to let you know?

With regards, Ton Hermes

Re: some minor bugs ?

Ton,

the best place to log items such as this is in the public issue tracker @ support.dotnetnuke.com , the QA team will move them to the approriate forum.

Re: some minor bugs ?

Hi Ton,

the forums are fine for discussing issues before submitting them into the public issue tracker ;-)

  • I haven't played around a lot with the advancedTable.xsl, does the same issue occur on custom built XSL with all options provided?
  • I am not aware of a max. length for search. there is however a limitation for search if using XSL rendering: it is always case sensitive. can you please validate

Thank you!

Re: some minor bugs ?

Hi Sebastian,

Indeed, the search string is case sensitive.
It works OK.

About the AdvancedTable.xsl.
There are so many options.
I do not know what you mean exactly.
I made 2 screen shots of the "manage UDT" screen.
one of the fields and one of the settings.
Is it possible to send them to you by mail ?
Inserting in this message was not possible.

With regards, Ton Hermes

Re: some minor bugs ?

Hi,

When using the AdvancedTable.xsl.
- In the DNN application view mode.
- - click on the magnifier and you will see the row details
- - Go back with the left arrow
- Change the DNN application view mode to edit mode
- - Click on the magnifier and there is an escape to the home page.
You must logout to reset the udt to the normal behavior.

When using the AdvancedTable.xsl
- In the DNN application view mode.
- - click on the magnifier
- - A hidden field is now visible

I hope this is clear for you.
Do not hesitate to ask for more clarification when needed.
With regards, Ton Hermes
