UDT ONlyOwnItems Configure

Sabastian or anyone else that can help,

The OnlyOwnItems xsl predefined code ... I would like to change so that instead of the current user only being able to view things entered by the current user.  Therefore it uses the field of Createdby to define what the user is able to view.  I would like work off of a field I have set up called UserID.  I want to be the only one to posts things to the database and determine who can see them by the entery that I make in the UserID field.  Since I am the one creating the entries in the database, I am the only one that can view them in the existed predefined xsl code so it doesn't work the way I need.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Re: UDT ONlyOwnItems Configure

You don't need to work with OnlyOwnItems.xsl here. Create a column "UserId" or UserName, which is also unique. Apply a filter
[UserId] = [User:UserId]
or
[UserName] ='[User:Username]'

Re: UDT ONlyOwnItems Configure

another option would be to use a column "owner" of type user profile link, which allows you to select the user by username and verify existance.

Re: UDT ONlyOwnItems Configure

That worked perfectly!

Thank you so much.

Now if I could hit you up for one more small thing.  If I want the superuser to see all records when I log in can I add an "or" type of statement to that filter?
