Proxy issue using XML/XSL module

Hi

I'm using this module specifying the location of the XML and the XSL using web addresses instead of physical location of the files.

I've now this issue, that before in DNN 3.x I never had:  I get this error:
System.Net.WebException
The remote server returned an error: (407) Proxy Authentication Required.

I tried adding in web.config the specs to skip the usage of proxy
<system.net>
    <defaultProxy>
        <proxy proxyaddress="http://10.144.231.35:80" bypassonlocal="true" usesystemdefault="false" />
        <bypasslist>
           <add address="localhost" />
           <add address="localhost/*" />
           <add address="10.136.*" />
        </bypasslist>
   </defaultProxy>
</system.net>

but also with this I still get the error,

do anyone has any idea?

Thanks in advance

Best regards

Daniele

Re: Proxy issue using XML/XSL module

Daniele,

XML module is using the DotNetNuke function GetExternalRequest to request web addresses.
The proxy server needs to be set up in host->host settings->advanced settings->proxy settings.

form and List will be the successor of the User Defined Table module.

Do you want to import external data to form and List /User Defined Table?

Re: Proxy issue using XML/XSL module

Hi Stefan

I've setup proxy in Host settings, I've entered IP address, port, domain user, password and timeout, but this fails.

I try to use this because I've some hundreds of documents in my Enterprise intranet portal that leaving located in portal foolder.... it's a disaster for the file system

I tried to add the setting in web.config just because I got problems with the standard DNN Proxy settingg.

I'm thinking.... I'm using now DNN 4.5.3, should not be a problem with this new framework?

Regards

Daniele

Re: Proxy issue using XML/XSL module

Daniele, you are using DotnetNuke 4.5.3. Did you also update the XML module to the latest release (04.03.04)?
