XML Module and Excel

How do I turn a xls file into XML/XSL so that it will work with the XML module. I can create the xml file but not the XSL file.

Re: XML Module and Excel

Mark,

I too have an excel spreadsheet that I "Saved As" an XML sheet. Now I need to Upload to DNN, an XSL Transformation file in order for this xml file to be readable. Did you find out how to do this yet?

Re: XML Module and Excel

Hi.

Part One:

I have Excel 2003 on my computer. I would like to display on my Website / DNN application, an excel spreadsheet. Currently. I do not care whether I have to save the Excel sheet as an HTM file or an XML file. All I want to do is display a static, dead copy of a this information. If I save it as a plain old HTM/ HTML file, how what module should I load to have it display?

Part Two: Soon, this same spreadsheet will be updated every two minutes. Its a spreadsheet of stock prices that gets updated by a MS Money plug-in. Someday ,

I would like this program to be running on my laptop, then , thru the magic of DNN which I do not really understand yet, have real time, updated  prices be reflected in a dynamic page on my website.

But for now, I just want to display this Excel spreadsheet saved as a HTM(L) file, or XML file in a DNN module.

Thanks,

Bill

Re: XML Module and Excel

I am not aware of a generic Excel 2003 xml to htm XSL script. I searched google for some minutes, however I found no helping entries within the first pages.

If you want to read a single table out of a excel file, you should look at a module that is able to open/query the excel file using oleDB. Reports 5.0 should be able doing so.
