Re: XML module starts again

At top of every page is "Projects". Either from there, or to the right on this page, go to Module :: XML. Then there should be a link for all the project news, forums and downloads. Doing so, it is at:

I think Sam is asking for Simon's own enhancements. The download URL is posted here: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/forumid/59/threadid/39878/scope/posts/Default.aspx

Security Warning:
Simon's module allows executing SQL statements inside the DNN Database for every page author at any site of any portal. This person would be allowed to query every kind of data, setting data or deleting the database. This should only be allowed for host users.

forms & Lists (UDT5.0) will be the next major release of the User Defined Table project.
A first Preview is available, though it requires DotnetNuke 5 (Beta 5).

Re: XML module starts again

been on holiday, so missed the last few posts.

My Module is not an general release as it was written in a couple of days to solve some very big shortcoming in this module for an urgent project my company got involved with.  I posted the code as there are people whos projects are going wrong due to the short comings of this module, which is why I am hoping that with a new team formed it can quickly move on and fill the gaps.

The secuirty warning about database access is total correct - I was in discussion with people about how to take this forward to avoid sql injection attacks etc  I have also since then learnt that the core team does not allow direct access - fine thats the point of have a team lead who is aware of things like this.  I'm posting this as the warning looks like i had not considered this fact although I accept it needs to be stated.

If the new team could post there development roadmap when ever they have come up with a plan then everybody can make a judgement about if to wait and what to expect..

Simon
