XSLT Problem displaying a href tags?

I am trying to display xml feeds from a forum. i have disabled the <xsl:value-of disable-output-escaping="yes" select="description"/>  in the xslt.

the problem i am getting is that for displaying links (<a href></a>), the xslt fails to render. everything else is fine - i've tried different html tags i.e. <img> <table> <marquees> and they all display correctly - except for anchor tags.

please help
