XSL parameters

Is it possible to scan all of the parameters in the query string in a URL in .NET? If this is possible, then I would suggest that an option be added to the XML module that allows the automatic passing as parameters of all query string values.

So say we have:

http://www.mysite.com/xmlmodule/?one=fire&two=water

The XSL receives the params one and two with the values of fire and water set.

This would, in my opinion, allow more generic processing of an XML data set through one XSL file.

I can expand on why I want to do this but I'm sure you already know. Is there another way to implement this that already exists in the XML module?

Re: XSL parameters

Check out XMLdb at www.tressleworks.ca

This module does parameter substition, but the source of the data is from the database - not sure if that is what you need.

Paul.

Re: XSL parameters

Thanks Paul - it looks very interesting but not what I'm looking for.

I want to be able to create links using an XML/XSL combo that refers back to itself and allows you to flip through different view of the data.

Re: XSL parameters

Xml module  3.3.0 is on its way to public release, it is feature complete and running fine, but currenly in internal beta testing. I expect to enter the module release tracker in short time.

And of course it is going to support parameters, see the roadmap for more information: http://support.dotnetnuke.com/Default.aspx?XML=RoadMap

forms & Lists (UDT5.0) will be the next major release of the User Defined Table project.
A first Preview is available, though it requires DotnetNuke 5 (Beta 5).

Re: XSL parameters

Looking forward to using it Stefan.

I just read:

"query strings passThrough etc."

will this be indiscriminate pass-through or predefined?
