works fine locally not on the web

I added some action buttons to my module to be visible just to the admin and it works fine locally on my computer. When I upload it on our website, the action buttons are visible to everyone. Other security settings on the menu and other features work fine.

Is there any idea about this? Is there any special setting on our webhost server?

I appreciate for any help. Thanks,

Ali

Re: works fine locally not on the web

There shouldn't be anything that would cause this.

Are you sure that the users do not have the "Administrator" role assigned to them?  Or possibly have edit permissions to the page or module?

Re: works fine locally not on the web

Thanks mitchel,

I am sure about that because after any change I create the module and create it on our website so all of the page and module settings would be the same. The users that I am using for my tests also have the same access level. I even set the securityaccesslevel.admin once for the action button and it didn't work.

Is there anything else that I am missing?

Re: works fine locally not on the web

Here's your "fix":

Go ahead and setup the DNN framework the way you'd like it.  Use typical or custom.  When it gets to the page that hangs, simply close your browser and restart the process, this time using auto.  You might have to tweek it a bit afterward to get everything the way you need it, but it beats re-installing SQL.
