Installer on Windows Vista
Is the installer compatible with Windows Vista and IIS7?

Re: Installer on Windows Vista

I have not tested on Vista (I am not brave enough yet to upgrade).

I would love your feedback if you do install it.

Thanks.

Re: Installer on Windows Vista
I have just given it a test in Vista, it fails at the point where it's "Creating website" (probably because of Vista UAC).  Vista then detects the failure and offers to run it again with "recommended settings" (which would be the same as "Run as Administrator", I suspect).  But it still fails at the "Creating website" step.

Re: Installer on Windows Vista
That's the same experience I have. No matter if I run the installer as administrator, creating the website fails. And, the database is not dropped during "roll-back".

Re: Installer on Windows Vista

This could be something with IIS7. I will install VISTA on a VirtualPC and figure out what is going on there.

Thanks.
