Re: NO email from forums module

The forums don't send mail any different then other parts of DotNetNuke. This module uses the same SendMail function used from registration. The difference here can be the sending from address. SMTP servers will not always allow certain addresses to be the from, because they appear to be spam.

This seems to describe properly what's happening. At the moment i am experiencing the same error message, not with the forums though, but with the creation of a user account. I cannot send mail because the from address is specified as "admin@localhost" and i have no idea on how to change this. I have already changed the email address of the admin user to a valid email address but this error just keeps popping up and i am absolutely lost on where this email address is set and how to change it.

I've posted about this error at the Event Module Section, because i can not send any message to e-mails that do not be at the SMTP Domain i've specified at the host Settings

You need to change the email address of the administrator account for that portal.

Thanks, for you're replyes... it was somethin like you said.  The person that should create the E-Mail Account told me that he did it, but it wasn't true... So it makes me an error message.
