Re: Application Error on New Post (Firefox only; IE Works OK)

I suggest a upgrade of the DNN to version 4.8.4.  I have try to reproduce it with Forum 4.4.3 and DNN 4.8.4 but I can't  reproduce it.

Re: Application Error on New Post
Modified By Tikkune on 7/2/2008 11:45:55 AM)

Matthias,

When I make a new user on the portal, the new user has no problem making a New Post. But many existing users are getting the error. I check Role permissions, and all is OK. I check Forum User permissions, and all are set as Trusted User.

1) Any suggestions for 'resetting' all users to have same permissions to use Forum Module?

2) How can I reset Trusted User setting? All are greyed-out, not allowing Admin ability to un-trust user. I had hoped this might reset the permissions, maybe stop the problem?

3) Is there a way to Export Forum Module 4.3.3 content, uninstall Forum Module, reinstall Forum Module, then Import content again?

Re: Application Error on New Post (Firefox only; IE Works OK)

I am sure this is a issue I have posted several times in this Forum.  The issue is related to a not  error free IUpgradeable running in upgrading from a 3.x Forum version.  A way for a solution is postet here http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/7/threadid/197003/scope/posts/Default.aspx .  We don't ahve at time a other solution.
