Error: "Object reference..." - after FM 4.4.1 to 4.4.3 Upgrade

DNN 4.8.4, Forum Module 4.4.3

After upgrade from Forum Module 4.4.1 to 4.4.3, "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." is thrown when attempting to 'Edit Forum' (Admin > Manage Forums/Groups > Edit Forum). Cannot Edit Forum or Add Forum without getting 'Object reference...' error.

Here is detail from the Event Viewer. There are two exceptions happening in sequence: Module Load, then Page Load (shown here in reverse order, as listed in Event Viewer by default):

Any suggestions for correcting these errors? Thank you.

Re: Error: "Object reference..." - after FM 4.4.1 to 4.4.3 Upgrade

First a Forum Module 4.4.1 was never released.  Only to the betatesters.  If you using this on production environment you do this on your own risk.

There is already a thread for uprade issue vom 3.20.09 to Forum 4.4.3 with a solution.  This is at time the only solution.  Your issue is about a fail IUpgradetable running before you upgrade the Forum to 4.4.3.   So please follow the instruction there.

Matthias,

I was involved with beta testing 4.4.x, and I forgot that Forum Module 4.4.1 was not released to the public. I do realize the risks in using the beta builds; thank you for reminding me.

Could you please reply with link to the post you mention above, with solution I may try? I have searched, but I cannot find the post you mention. A link to the post would be very much appreciated; thank you.

Look to this link please, but I am not sure if this will fix your problem on a upgrade from 4.4.1Beta.  http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/7/threadid/197003/scope/posts/Default.aspx
