Re: A critical error has occurred. Value cannot be null. Parameter name: value

I just had the same problem, where the userid seems to be invalid.  Lucky for me, my Forum is brand new, so deleting the group wasn't painful.  When it happens again, it will be much more ugly.

Not sure why no one has replied to your messges.  Maybe a second report will prompt a reply.

Re: A critical error has occurred. Value cannot be null. Parameter name: value

Hi Guys,

I recently validated a work item in Gemini submitted by Valarie Sosnow that appears to be identical to the issue you are describing.  During the discussion, Chris Paterra indicated that the bug is fixed for 4.4.5 (I assume that's the one in the release tracker).  You can read the relevant details here

Chris indicates that it is a duplicate work item, so there may be an (unlinked) work item with additional details.

Brandon

Re: A critical error has occurred. Value cannot be null. Parameter name: value

Run this script in Host - SQL with "run as script" enabled.  If you know the userID of the user you can change it in this script.  This script sets all posts with your problem to a annonymous user.

UPDATE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Forum_Posts
SET UserID = -1
WHERE UserID = 0

Go
