Last Post - Date/Time/User?
Modified By DavidToohey on 6/12/2008 12:16:06 AM)

I have had to manually update some forum posts that were lost... but how do I change the date, time and user that is shown in the forum - not the post itself?

What table is this stored in? It's picking it up from somewhere other than the forum_posts table which I have been able to update with the correct information.  When replying to a post it is also coming up with the wrong author (for post replied to), not the user listed in the forum_posts table.

Re: Last Post - Date/Time/User?

The DateTime using the Timezone Settings of the Portal and the users.  So they get the time from the portal (IIS). I am not sure at time how you can handle to add older posts, with origianl DateTime.

Re: Last Post - Date/Time/User?

Hi Matthias

Thanks for your reply... but it's not really what I was meaning.

The forum list/summary is showing a different last poster, and date/time to the actual last thread details... it is being picked up from a different table it seems, not from the forum_posts table.

Where is this picked up? Where does the forum lists pick up the last post information from?

Thanks

David

Re: Last Post - Date/Time/User?

All "Last Post" information is based on what is set for the LastPostedPostID (The column is named similar to that), of the Threads table. When you manually alter something and create a new last post you will need to update the threads table. Any edits you did should have been updated properly (after cache clears) as long as you didn't add/remove the last post manually.
