4.4.3 Post installation error on Genera settings access

When I try to access General settings (Forum configuration) area, I'm getting this message:

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.at DotNetNuke.Modules.Forum.Settings.BindMemberNameTypes()at DotNetNuke.Modules.Forum.Settings.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e)--- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Any idea?

Re: 4.4.3 Post installation error on Genera settings access

What version of DNN are you using? I am starting to think that major changes in how DNN handles lists between 4.4 and 4.5 is causing me a world of pain. The problem you have is a missing localizable "Lists" for the forum module. I have a ratings thread here where i discuss how to check this out.

Re: 4.4.3 Post installation error on Genera settings access

Tnx for replay Chris, but since this is the site in production, anf there was not much posts, I decided to deinstall module and make new installation.
Now, of course, everything is working just fine. Actually, I have a feeling that forum is now faster.
Maybe upgrade is sometimes "tricky", but new module brings significant changes and I believe it is worth of "pain".
I'm especially very grateful for the fact that I don't need to have old gallery module installed any more!

DNN installation on which upgrade failed was 4.6.2, with portal default language set to Croatian.

Re: 4.4.3 Post installation error on Genera settings access

The upgrade itself didn't fail, just the list population was a problem. The hardest thing to address when using so many core API parts is handling so many DNN core versions (4.4 -> 4.6.2). The new forum version is very much faster than the older one, I have done tests to prove this and blogged about them.
