Image error in Forum Member List

/Forum/tabid/110/ctl/MemberList/mid/460/Default.aspx

Forum Member List:  It looks like an icon to the left of each Forum member is missing as indicated by a broken link. (This is not to be confused with User Accounts) Can anyone tell me why and what the solution is? Apologies in advance if asked and answered.

Re: Image error in Forum Member List

Anyway, half the answer is that when you hashmark the user setting in Forum for "display online status", it links to an icon in Forum users to indicate the member is using the Forum. However, that icon is missing upon install.

Re: Broken link Forum Member "online"

I'm coming back to the same topic with the hope someone knows the answer. There is a missing image as indicated by a broken link in the Forum Module's *Member List*. An image next to the member indicates if the member is online or not in the FORUM. If someone could help me cobble this together, I'd appreciate it. If nothing else, please check your own Member list and give me a clue: image, source, whatever you can provide to help me fix this. Could it possibly be related to "img id" (source is null).

Re: Broken link Forum Member "online"

I am a bit confused by what the issue is. I saw this in another forum, so I moved it to this one since it appears to be specific to this module. Which forum theme are you using? I am certain the online image is in there for the Default one, if you are using a previous version's theme there may be an issue though.

Re: Broken link Forum Member "online"

No, I haven't applied any themes to forum -- just skins/containers using plain DNN skins (gray) w/ 4.8 install. Early on I did play with a skin from DNNskin.com, but uninstalled it and applied the DNN-Gray skin to the Site (unchecking Host).

After reading your message, I just went back to Skins/Container under Admin, reset both to DNN Blue from Gray, leaving both Site and Host checked this time (rather than just Site), then reset it back to Gray. It's working. However, I can see only online/offline images associated with the Forum Members with some kind of permissions (Admin, module level, forum level), not an image for regular members. At least there are no broken links. Not sure why members without various forum security roles are not showing online/offline icon, unless this is the way it's supposed to work. Meanwhile, it's hard for me to know if it was applying the skin to both site & host (from admin) or simply "resetting" the skin. And will it continue to work?

I hope this description helps to sleuth why this happened. You're hot on the trail of something here since this is the first time I've seen those images pop at all, albeit for privileged members only (is that the way it is set up?).

Thanks for looking into this, Crispy, and for responding. Deeply appreciated. -- Val
