Is the forum module still buggy?

I have Active Forums and while nice the product activation is annoying as all hell. I can't uninstall it and reinstall it with out having to contact support to re-enable my key code. I happen to play around a lot and have rebult my site a few times and I rather just ditch it then having to email them and wait on them again and try to prove I am not installing it on more then one site.

With that said, I wouldn't mind going back to the DNN forum but from what I am reading (and seeing with my own eyes on this forum, a page failed to display with a error msg on me while browsing today) it seems quite buggy. Is there a ETA to fix these issues?

I suppose if all else fails I can install the copy of AF I have from about 3 versions ago before they introduced product activation.

Any input appreciated

Re: Is the forum module still buggy?

the 04.04.04 version of the forum is going through the release tracker (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Products/Development/ProjectReleaseTracking/tabid/997/Default.aspx) . It's primarily a bugfix release, you can see the changes involved @ http://support.dotnetnuke.com/project/RoadMap.aspx?PROJID=7

Please note, we're also dogfooding the new 4.8.1 release of dotnetnuke and some module updates today, so there have been some planned outages (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/65/scope/threads/Default.aspx details some)
